VENUE

SWGEN 2025 will be hosted by INRAE, the Institut National de Recherche pour l’Agriculture, l’alimentation et l’Environnement. The conference will take place in the historic building of the institute located 2 rue de la papeterie, 38402 Saint-Martin d’Hères, France (show on map).

 

GETTING THERE

  • Arriving by train (good choice!): The easiest way to get from Grenoble main station to INRAE is using the tramway line B in the direction of “Gières - Plaine des Sports” and exiting at “Bibliothèques Universitaires”, which is a 5-10 minutes walk away from the INRAE building. More details on the Grenoble public transportation can be found here (select language on the top right).
  • Public transportation within Grenoble: Grenoble has excellent public transport links which takes you around by either bus or tramway. In addition to the tramway line B (see above), there is the bus line C7 destination Gières, Université - stop at IUT-UFRAPS, or the bus line C5 destination Gières - stop at Université Biologie.   • Arriving by air: the two closest international airports are in Lyon and Geneva. Trains and buses from both airports will take you to Grenoble main station, then take the tramway line B (see above). Trains leave from Lyon and Geneva airport regularly, the travel time from Lyon is around 1:10 hours and from Geneva around 2:30 hours. There is also a shuttle bus service connecting from both airports (Lyon - Grenoble and Geneva - Grenoble).

Close to the Saint-Martin d'Hères campus and the conference location:
