Main topics and themes

We invite researchers, practitioners, and experts in the field to submit their contributions to the conference. We are accepting abstracts for oral presentations, posters, and case studies that showcase innovative approaches, practical applications/studies, or theoretical advancements related to stochastic weather generators

Key topics of interest include a wide array of approaches, such as

  • High-dimensional, non-stationary, spatio-temporal models
  • Multivariate, non-Gaussian, non-linear processes
  • Multi-scale, state-space models
  • Extremes
  • Artificial intelligence (generative models) 

These topics will be explored across a variety of themes, including:

  • climatology
  • hydrology
  • agriculture
  • air quality
  • ecology
  • insurance
  • renewable energies (solar, wind, etc.)
  • environmental engineering

Submission process

To submit an abstract (max. 500 words), you must first log in using the “Login” button on the top-right corner of this page. Once logged in, go to the "Submit an abstract" page. Alternatively, once logged in, you'll find in the left-hand menu the My Space > My Submissions tab , which will direct you to the abstract submission system.
The submission process is a simple three-step procedure. Please note that the selection of topics you can associate with your abstract does not necessarily reflect the sessions that will be organized. Once submitted, you can modify your abstract using the same links until the submission system closes on October 5, 2025.
